Journalist Glenn Greenwald on Friday said he was the victim of a “malicious political” act by unnamed “enemies” who wanted to “advance a political agenda” by leaking a video that showed him being intimate with another man.

The statement, posted to his X (formerly Twitter) account early Friday morning, came hours after his social media account republished a three-minute long clip that showed him in a bedroom licking the feet of another man, then paying him more than $2,000 via his personal PayPal account.
